March 26, 2015 By Rory 1 Comment

This is #Dad Tag. An Aussie Daddy Blogger initiative. We are asking the members of our group to respond to a question in video format before passing a question on to the next poor victim. My question was asked by Dan Lister at Beard and Bug. What is the biggest thing I've … [Read more...]

Beauty and Disruption 8 – Gossip Queen

March 2, 2015 By Rory 2 Comments

So I've mentioned in my first post that I am an amateur poet. Amateur being the key word here. I wrote a series of poems from about the age of 23 through to 29. I haven't written any since but I looked over this series the other day. The first thing I noticed is that they … [Read more...]

Our power

February 26, 2015 By Rory 4 Comments

How peaceful it is at that time, just before the crack of dawn. Lately I'm happier. Still tired, still frustrated and worn down, yet good. I've had to start earlier lately so I can collect my 1st beloved from kindy. So I've found myself driving in bliss along a near empty … [Read more...]

Of course I’m listening..

February 11, 2015 By Rory 4 Comments

Every now and again my dear wife gets frustrated because she says I don't listen to her. Initially I thought this was ridiculous and cited that it wasn't fair to address important topics at inappropriate times. For example, don't tell me important shit that I'm supposed to … [Read more...]

Goodbye cage.

February 7, 2015 By Rory 8 Comments

Well if you've been reading this blog it's certainly no secret that I'm currently in an everyday struggle with what I see as a reality I don't really want to be a part of any more. Sounds awfully doom and gloom doesn't it? Well it's not really. I mean yeah, every where I look … [Read more...]

The awkward moment you realise that you are a communist

January 28, 2015 By Rory Leave a Comment

I was writing about greed recently. Big topic. Today I was contemplating a discussion that some friends and I were having about World War 3 (I think I need a new hobby). I was considering some of the points that were raised such as selfishness and self interest. It was … [Read more...]

Greed. Time for some considerations.

January 20, 2015 By Rory 2 Comments

I've been considering alot. I've recently familiarized myself with some great concepts such as The Zeitgeist Movement and The Venus Project. I've soaked up the countless messages from Films for action. These last few weeks I've replaced my music with pod-casts and on-line … [Read more...]

Ascension

January 2, 2015 By Rory 5 Comments

I was looking for a resolution for the new year while looking with wary eyes on the path laid out ahead of our kind. I am excited about our kind, but also, I admit, sometimes a little disheartened. Most of us are inherently good. I believe that one day that the human beings … [Read more...]

About Rory

Welcome to Memoirs of the Mind.

Here you will find love, happiness, family, frienship, appreciation of all things beautiful, and continual jabs at intellectual dishonesty and corrupt politicians.

I am a social justice warrior, the gadfly of hypocrisy and advocate of the words 'guilty by omission'.

My aim is to call out the intellectually dishonest among us who refuse to question, communicate or critique.

My current passion is laughing at people who think fake news and Russia is an excuse for Donald Trump and analysing the whining capitulation that has followed.
