Break creative block AND be a better parent with this one technique

December 2, 2018 By Rory Leave a Comment

Sometimes it's hard to get into your groove. If I'm on the right track, you're an artist, a writer, an actor or a musician who is hacking away at a piece of artistry, and going backwards. When the ideas are flowing it feels like they will come forever. An inexhaustible … [Read more...]

Absence of belief in a higher power = Belief there is no higher power

April 14, 2018 By Rory Leave a Comment

What do all atheists (a faith-based belief system based around Man as God) have in common? They desperately need to tell everyone about it. Atheists, come across indoctrinated to me. 'Atheist' is a fake term. You can't be an atheist. Being an atheist is basically saying … [Read more...]

November 18, 2017 By Rory Leave a Comment

https://youtu.be/jjXQtPlNZls It's been a while since I did a Human Interview. I've been contemplating coming back to this blog and getting more serious about it's influence. I think that this is a fantastic way to start. The Human Interviews are now in video interview … [Read more...]

MILO LYING AGAIN FOR HIS CORPORATE OVERLORDS AGAIN

February 5, 2017 By Rory 2 Comments

So we have this video going around at the moment that is being shared in a frenzied attempt to justify president Trump's ban on some countries with terrorists while ignoring Saudi Arabia completely. Should I go on? OK. Milo Yiannopoulos, the charming gay man with the … [Read more...]

Fake News cost Clinton the election. Exposing the tin foil hat conspiracy theory.

January 13, 2017 By Rory 2 Comments

On November 7, 2016 Hillary Clinton lost the unlosable election. I remember listening on the radio, the way all the smug reporters just sort of fell into an awkward stupor, as they collectively realised the magnitude of the colossal failure they had brought down on the … [Read more...]

Here’s what happens when I resist the urge to correct my children

Rediscovering Children's Creativity

The most beautiful thing about children is the opportunity to observe them in all their innocence, as they test the boundaries of their freedom while exploring the world around them. Asserting our authority over our children is usually legitimate. Like the authority of a … [Read more...]

Surely, I must be one of the greatest men alive

September 15, 2016 By Rory 1 Comment

Remember the time you caught me throwing your art in the bin? You really dressed me down for that one.  You made it clear that throwing out people's stuff without asking was wrong.  I was surprised. You don't like conflict but you were ready to fight for that. You were four and … [Read more...]

Why is the world all about feeling

June 19, 2016 By Rory Leave a Comment

Today I woke up. Times are tough. A few drinks and smokes the night before had left me feeling like death in runners. Death in runners, at the start of a wonderful bright morning, a long path ahead of me and many thoughts to keep me company along the way. A small … [Read more...]

Me and the social media scam artist

March 27, 2016 By Rory 2 Comments

I couldn't believe how emphatically my luck had finally turned around. I had just found this picture of Chris Judd just before he decided to leave West Coast to play for a horrible team. And! I was lucky enough to win half a million dollars! Coincidentally, right … [Read more...]

About Rory

Welcome to Memoirs of the Mind.

Here you will find love, happiness, family, frienship, appreciation of all things beautiful, and continual jabs at intellectual dishonesty and corrupt politicians.

I am a social justice warrior, the gadfly of hypocrisy and advocate of the words 'guilty by omission'.

My aim is to call out the intellectually dishonest among us who refuse to question, communicate or critique.

My current passion is laughing at people who think fake news and Russia is an excuse for Donald Trump and analysing the whining capitulation that has followed.
